01 / The autonomy seam
Autonomy fails between systems when the robot, location, task, policy, sensor assertion, and command are each identified differently.
A faster model or better sensor does not solve broken operational identity. Without a common primitive, fleets become isolated autonomy stacks, spatial safety becomes vendor-specific, and edge decisions lose their provenance when they return to the enterprise.
